Shealyn Shul
Therapist Stagiaire en psychotherapie
As an intern, my approach to therapy will be to offer a warm and collaborative, space for clients to navigate their struggles. I view the therapeutic relationship as a key part of healing and growth, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard.
I am drawn to psychodynamic and humanistic approaches and value in exploring the deeper roots of a client’s emotional world while encouraging their capacity for growth, choice, and self-awareness. That said, I gravitate toward an integrative style of therapy—drawing from a variety of modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, existential therapy, and creative or experiential interventions, with the goal of tailoring sessions to the unique needs, strengths, and cultural context of the individual I’m working with.
Most of my experience has involved working with neurodivergent individuals, youth with special needs, and those navigating emotional regulation. However I hope to develop experience working with various demographics and finding my niche. As a new therapist, I prioritize ongoing self-reflection, cultural humility, and supervision, ensuring that I continue to grow both personally and professionally while providing care
