Victoria Maria Ferrante
Psychology Intern — doctoral level, under supervision
A sense of trust and connection is essential in the therapeutic relationship. Whether you wish to equip yourself to cope with your difficulties or simply need to feel listened to and supported, I am committed to providing support tailored to your needs, your reality and your pace.
My practice is grounded in collaboration and empowerment, working together to develop a personalized treatment plan aligned with your values. I practice integrative individual psychotherapy, combining cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with humanistic/existential approaches, and mindfulness and self-compassion techniques.
I work with adults and young adults seeking support for a range of individual, relational and mental health issues. I am trained in the treatment of anxiety, depression and sleep disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), difficulties with adjustment and organization, bereavement, and suicide prevention. I am also aware of issues relating to body image, as well as identity and existential concerns.
During my university studies, I specialized in social psychology, focusing on intergroup relationships and, in particular, prejudice against minorities. Therefore, I am also aware of certain forms of oppression such as racism, sexism, fatphobia, and ageism. I aim to provide an inclusive space and support that acknowledges the social determinants that can affect people’s well-being.
